At the 1st of October 2008 the Otto Group bought a large part of the mail order business of its Russian joint venture partner Direct Group. The Otto Group bought the three core businesses units of the mail order group Nadom including the associated logistics PromoPost.
Nadom was founded in 1996 and is one of the dominant distance marketing forces in Russia with over 45 million mail ads and catalogues sent out annually. They delivers goods directly to more than 12 million clients across all territory of the Russian federation.
